VALAK – The Nun (ALIVE)

The Nun films is a classic horror film, in this film tells the story of the struggle of a priest, and a young girl who has not been sworn into a Nun to find out why a nun hung herself a few years ago in a church. In this paper, I will not discuss the storyline of the Nun film, but I will discuss some of the pounts that I got in the Nun film.

First, I noticed that when watching the film were the clothes worn bu nuns, and of course the nuns used the clothes not only in the film right? This is very interesting for me, because nuns use very neat clothes, cover their entire bodies, even they use cloth to cover their hair, even though they do not close their hair perfectly like a Muslimah, the only differences is that in Christianity that uses these clothes only applies to nuns, but different in Islam, these clothes apply to all Muslimah.

Second, why Valak, and why should you dress like that? In fact, the name ‘Valak’ does exist from a mythological story, the figure of Valak is depicted as a figure of a child with angel wings riding a two-headed dragon, but in contrast to the film The Conjuring 2 and The Nun, the figure of Valak in the film is inspired by figures of spirits once haunted paranormal Lorraine Warren at here house. Lorraine describes the figure as a creature who uses a hood. According to James Wan as the producer.

Third, the meaning of the cross is reversed at the end of The Nun’s story. This symbol is often associated with Satanism (devotee of Satan) and anti-religious attitudes, because this symbol is the opposite of its main symbol. In fact, the origin of this symbol comes from the Catholic tradition which states that St. peter the Apostle was crucified head down, because he felt it was inappropriate to be aquated with Christ his position, pasrt of his humility and respect for Christ.
Hopefully by reading this article, adding to our knowledge, start to find out what we don’t know, and need to find out, because science will increase, when we care about what is seen and heard, and find out the truth. Learning has not limits.
