How can someone lives in another person's shadow?

Everyone will definitely not be happy when compared to other people, but many people are not aware that this hurts. Many deliberately compare the first person with the second person when one of them is not good enough. Many people forget that every human being has their own strengths and weaknesses. If there is a deficiency in someone, we should not compare him with other people but encourage him to be better. The attitude of often comparing something is owned by anyone, one of them is a parent. There are some parents who without or consciously compare their children, either between siblings with their siblings or even with other people's children. Sometimes there are children who are increasingly compared instead will show their achievements, but there are also children who are increasingly compared then it will make him become a quiet, naughty, depressed, or at worst he can hate his parents.

As I saw in one of the short films recently. I found this short film when the video snippet appeared in exploring my instagram. In the video there is only 1 minute of the total number in 21 minutes. What was seen in the duration of 1 minute was only a male student among the other students, his vision was empty, when his friends gathered the task he did not move at all. Then the teacher approached him and asked where the assignment was from the male student, but he was just silent until finally the teacher compared the male student to the name of another child (after I watched the full film, it was known that another child's name was called by the teacher is the name of the older brother of the male student who also attended school there). After being compared by the teacher, the male student took his cellphone and called someone, before the telephone was lifted, the male student asked the teacher to increase the volume of his cellphone. Not long after the phone was picked up, there were voices of mothers with rude and abusive language and tone, the mother of the male student picked up the phone from her son and immediately issued a curse for his son, after speaking a lot, at the end his mother said that he did not want to have children like male students, the male student took his cellphone from the teacher and spoke loudly that he did not want to be born of the mother.

I was interested in seeing the full video which turned out to be a short movie by a national child Finally I looked for the movie's short link. In it tells about a boy whose life is always compared to his brother. Even his own mother did not hesitate to say harshly, in this short movie there were no people who became the cast of the mother, the mother was only portrayed through dialogue via telephone with the child. Every morning, afternoon, evening and evening the mother always calls this boy but not to pay attention or encourage the child, but to curse and scold the child continuously. Every time a mother calls him, the child just quietly listens with blank eyes, and this gets carried away even to him school. The impact of the child felt isolated, worthless, and he became a child who was always alone, never doing assignments, every day his activities were just sleeping, playing games, keeping quiet in the room, and going to school. People around him always compare him with his brother, of course this is not good for the child's psychology.

I think this short movie has a good message for parents as well as for children. Parents should not compare their children, what else with harsh language and speech. This will make hurt heart until the pressure leads to depression in children. As parents, they should realize that each child has their own strengths and weaknesses. Likewise the message for children from this short movie is however the attitude of the parents towards us, do not ever speak harshly, however as a child must respect parents because it is parents who raise us since we are still in the womb even though sometimes there are some parents who are not supposed to be against their children. The shortcomings in this short movie are also the scene of the child watching porn videos and he masturbating every night in his room, it would be nice maybe this scene was eliminated because if there were minors watching, they could just follow what they saw.
